The eClose option in Encompass is controlled by the user’s active persona. This means that two users may have similar general access to Encompass but see different options when they sign in under different personas.
The following applies specifically to visibility of the eClose option in Encompass:
Persona access overview
How persona access works
The persona selected when the user signs in determines which Encompass features and options are displayed for that session. Therefore, a user may see eClose under one persona but not under another.
For example, a user signed in as a Closer can see eClose, while the same user signed in as a Junior Administrator cannot. This is expected behavior and does not necessarily indicate a problem with the user’s account or general Encompass access.
If a user needs eClose access
If a user needs access to eClose, your Encompass administrator can review the user’s current persona and determine whether the Administrator or Closer persona is appropriate based on the user’s responsibilities and your organization’s security policies. After the persona is updated, the user should sign out and back in to Encompass before checking for the eClose option again.
Because changing a persona may also change access to other Encompass features, we recommend reviewing the user’s overall permissions before making the update.
