This article gives an overview of how to add or change a TPR (Third Party Recipient) or NBO (Non-Borrower Owner) to closing packages.There are times where the TPR/NBO is required to sign documentation.
⚠️ Note: We recommend to always use a unique email address for the TPR/NBO when adding the individual to the closing. The will resolve a lot of confusion regarding the emailed tasks that are sent to complete for closing types such as Hybrids.

To Add TPR/NBO to Closing
Please find the steps below to add the TPR/NBO to the closing package:
- Place the file into DRAFT
- Click Tools
- Click File Contacts
- Click Non-Borrowing Owner at bottom of File Contacts list. If Non-Borrowing Owner is not an option, click the paper icon with green arrow at top right and it will appear.
- Add NBO's first and last name and email address.(*Note: first & last names must be entered into the appropriate boxes.)
- Change Vesting type to "Title Only".
- Save and regenerate docs
- Resend the package to Blend
To Change TPR/NBO Information
If there is ever a change that is needed to the information input for the TPR/NBO, you can follow the steps below:
To change the TPR's email or name, they will need to be removed and re-added to Encompass:
- Click Tools
- Click File Contacts and scroll down to the NBO/TPR
- Delete using the "X" in the top right
- Add the TPR/NBO back into the File Contacts
- Regenerate docs
- Resend the package to Blend
